Fishing

We've tried fishing a couple times with no luck. Finally tonight we were able to catch some fish. Bridger was so excited to reel the fish in. He didn't want to get to close to them tho. Wade would put the fish back in the water and Bridger would say, "Thanks for letting us catch you".

And then we started getting attacked by mosquitos so we had to stop. We are so glad summer is finally here!

Birthday Boy

I can't believe Bridger is 4 today. The time has gone by way to fast. He is so kind and always makes us laugh! Happy Birthday to Bridger.

Idaho

Over the last weekend I got to go back to Idaho for some family time! It's wonderful to spend time with family. It was Maddie's birthday Friday, and it was so fun to be there for it. I also got to do a lot of appointments that I have been putting off. Taxes, Eye doctor, and Bridger checkup. Who would have thought that the persistent cough Bridger always has is asthma?

The progression of Bridger's doctors appointment in pictures. They had to draw blood for an allergy panel. As you can tell he was not to happy about that. It wasn't really the needle that he hated.... it was the bandaid. Yes, my child hates bandaids. He was so upset about it. Okay more like hysterical. It was a little embarrassing. Sorry that one picture is so fuzzy. He was sitting on my lap while I was trying to take it. (That's mean of me I know.)

Now we are doing breathing treatments twice a day. He is actually getting pretty good at sitting still and not talking for 15 minutes. (Kind of, I keep telling myself that..in hopes that eventually it will be true.)

Yes, I was the one who was going to take the kids to the ER if anyone got hurt.

Day 3: Vegas

We did a little more shopping, and we walked to the Mirage. We went to the Siegfried and Roy's Dolphin Habitat and Secret Garden. It was so amazing. The trainers were out with the dolphins so we got to see them do tricks. They had lions, tigers, and no bears. But they did have leopards and a panther. It was really fun to just wander around. It wasn't busy at all which was really nice.

And then we had to head home the very next morning. It was a shock to go from shorts to winter coats. But we are so glad we went.

We had so much fun and Wade got a break from work, which is what matters most. He deserved a little time to relax.

Day 2: Vegas

We went to the Shark Reef in the Mandalay Bay first thing. Bridger loved every second of it.

He loved the sharks. He wanted to ride them. So he had to have a shark stuffed animal.

(I think we packed home about 6 new stuffed animals.)

We just hung out by the pool all afternoon. It was so nice to just relax. Of course I just watched Bridger and Wade swim.

That night we went to Tournament of the Kings. Bridger always talks about being a knight and we thought he would like it. I am not even sure he said anything throughout the whole show. Which if you have been around Bridger is very odd. He sat with his mouth wide open, staring the whole time. He loved it so much!

Day 1: in Vegas

Walked down to M & M Factory. Spent $20 on a 1lb bag of M & M's.

Seriously, I about peed my pants.

Walked further to Planet Hollywood and shopped.

Walked further to Ceaser's Palace and shopped more.

Wade walked almost back to our hotel to a Walgreens to buy a stroller. We couldn't carry Bridger anymore. And he was SO tired of walking.

Walked to Treasure Island and watched Pirate show.

Walked to The Mirage and watched volcano show. (Bridger hated it, notice the face)

And walked back to our hotel!

We were so tired by the end of the day.

And yes... it was worth paying $30 for an umbrella stroller.

Bridger makes me laugh every single day. He loves this table that he got for Christmas from my mom and Rusty. I have so many drawings of people hung up allover the house.

The things I remember about my grandma.

She loved to quilt... by hand. I got to pick out a

quilt for Bridger and one for myself.

They are beautiful. I am so lucky to have them.

She always was dressed up. Always in heels and nice clothes.

She used to create lovely tea parties for us.

She would make tiny sandwiches, cupcakes, and little treats.

We would get to use her special plates.

She used to tell us stories of her growing up.

She would get out paper and draw us what it looked like where she grew up.

She never stopped learning new things.

She was always doing some project or another fixing up her home.

She did the tile countertops in her kitchen, plaster mold thingies on the ceilings

in some of the rooms, and refinished antique furniture.

She was always at a garage sale looking for hidden antique treasures.

I cannot believe how many antique keepsakes she had found.

We will all miss her so much.

This is us on our journey to Canada. Only 5 minutes into the drive.

(I am not sure we looked this happy at the end of the 10 hour drive.)

I love when family comes to visit. I used to see my mom almost every day. So I love it that she came to visit... It was not long enough tho. We went out for pizza, played at the PAC, and went ice skating.

I love bountiful baskets. I picked up my first one today here and couldn't be happier. Who knew strawberries could make me so happy!

I love LOVE my Kindle. Thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law, my reading addiction has hit an all time high!

I love soap.com. With the nearest Wal-Mart 2 hours away, I was in a panic of how I would get my day to day items. Thank you soap.com. I get my order within 2 days and its free shipping. Oh how great that is.

And most of all I love this little one.... How could I not?

Weekend with Family

I have a lot of free time on my hands. Which would be why I have started to blog again. Wade works 7 days a week, usually leaves the house about 530 am and gets home at 8 pm. I want family and friends to be able to see what we are up to since we don't live near any of them now. So posts will be boring.... sorry I am not a creative person. I have to say it's a little weird to live in such a small town but have so many things available for the community. There is an ice skating rink a block from my house, an AMAZING aquatic center/gym, lakes within 10 miles, and a ski resort that is 15 miles from my house. Not that I ski, of course. And I cannot forget all of the animals. Almost every day I see deer or antelope. How odd.

Wade's dad and little sister, Hallie, came to visit us a couple weekends ago. It was fun minus the waterslide incident.

We drove up to a lake that's only 5 minutes from my house. The lake froze this year so that the ice is clear. You can see the bottom of the lake while walking around. It's a little creepy. Bridger thought it was cool... not me.

We went to an ice skating show and then swimming.

Keith took Bridger down the waterslide and fell over in the slide and hit his head. It was scary for a minute. Now we all just think it's funny.... Mostly because it gave Keith a black eye. Bridger is now scared to death of the slide and won't go down it anymore. Oh well.

This weekend my mom and sister are coming! I am so excited!

Where to begin?

I am not quite sure what to begin with.... I guess with what we are up to now. We live in Wyoming and really like it here. Although it is colder than Idaho. Bridger is in preschool and goes 2 times a week. We also go to the library for story time 2 times a week.

This is Bridger's first day of preschool up here. Notice the face.... It's only -30. I forgot his hat too. Oops.

Sunday fun

On Sunday Wade's family decided to get the bikes out. It was still a little bit cold but warm enough to not be bundled up. Bridger was so excited to ride the "cycle-bikes" and did not want to go in.

Bridger is growing up so fast and now looks like a little boy and not a baby anymore. He copies everything we say and is always doing stuff trying to get us to laugh at him.

October....

I have been so busy and haven't had time to blog. Here is the month of October recap. We went to St. George for a weekend and we HAD to go to Vegas. Vegas is my favorite place on earth. I could live there.... and if you know Wade he could not. He hates crowds. So, I had fun.... he did not. Bridger had a blast at FAO Shwartz on the big piano, and was terrible at every restaurant we went to. Luckily we had Grandma, Grandpa, and Maddie there to help us entertain Bridger.

If anyone knows my mom you know she is always baking. Bridger is now all about helping Grandma bake. As you can tell he is tons of help.

We went to the straw maze last week and had so much fun. Bridger loved being able to run around and we loved it because he couldn't get into too much trouble or destroy anything. He wouldn't let us hold his hand or hold him so he ran through the maze........twice. We couldn't just do it once because it was so fun!

Weekend in Island Park

We spent the weekend in Island Park with Wade's fam. We had so much fun relaxing and doing nothing. I was able to go up on Friday night for a party I had won in Mary Kay and spend the night with 7 other consultants. We laughed and talked and ate until 2:30 in the morning. The rest of the family came up Saturday and we stayed until Sunday. We all wished we could have stayed longer.

Bridger loved fishing and actually caught a fish...... with Wade's help.

Fall is definantly here in Idaho. The leaves are so beautiful right now. Bridger is real great in photos if you've noticed.

I guess I better catch everyone up on what has been happening in the life of Wade and Katie. Our baby Bridger was born on April 20th, 2007. He is now 17 months old. Before having Bridger we lived in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and St. George. We now live in Rexurg and love it here. This picture is right after Bridger was born. We love being parents, here are a few pictures of the last 17 months.

We went on a cruise when Bridger was 7 weeks old.
